Exchange Traded Funds |
Exchange Traded Funds have become one of the fastest growing areas of the financial market. They allow investors the opportunity to participate in a broad variety of investment opportunities without being burdened with the cost of high fees. An Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), is essentially an open ended mutual fund that is listed and traded on exchanges similar to stocks. Like stocks, ETFs are liquid and easy to track. Similar to index funds, they provide diversification, market tracking and low expense ratios. ETFs differ from traditional mutual funds. |

Step-Up and Extendible Bonds |
Extendible notes are extendible at the option of the issuer which provides the issuer with increased financial flexibility - in exchange for this feature the issuer provides the purchaser of the note a higher coupon rate than would normally be the case for conventional bonds.
As a result of the extension feature, the notes usually carry several "Maturity Dates"; specifically,
- An Initial Maturity; the earliest date the issue may mature,
- Extended Maturity Dates; subsequent possible maturity dates,
- The Final Maturity Date, or the maximum term which the Note may mature at.
